Quranic Duas & Wazaif

"And He brought their hearts together."

Surah Al-Anfal 8:63

In-Depth Explanation

Hard feelings between hearts also have a spiritual cause. Sometimes Shaytan throws fitna between hearts.

The Quran says that joining hearts is only the work of Allah — even if you spent everything on earth, you could not join hearts (8:63).

Proof from the Quran

Allah's own words on this matter, with scholarly explanation.

"And He brought their hearts together. If you spent all that is on the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together — but Allah brought them together."

Surah Al-Anfal 8:63

Explanation: Joining hearts is only Allah's work — that is why we ask only Him.

"The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers."

Surah Al-Hujurat 49:10

Explanation: Ending hard feelings is an obligation.

Proof from Authentic Hadith

Narrations from the Prophet ﷺ on this subject.

"It is not permissible for a Muslim to forsake his brother for more than three days."

Sahih Al-Bukhari 6077

Explanation: Holding a grudge for more than three days is forbidden — reconciliation is required.

"Shall I tell you of something better than fasting, prayer and charity? — Reconciling between people."

Sunan Abu Dawud 4919 — Sahih
