Quranic Duas & Wazaif

"Our Lord, grant us from our spouses comfort of the eyes."

Surah Al-Furqan 25:74

In-Depth Explanation

There are many reasons for distance between husband and wife — sometimes the whispers of Shaytan, sometimes the evil eye, sometimes a communication gap.

The Quran compares the husband-wife relationship to a garment — it is the closest of all relationships. With the right training and dua, it becomes beloved again.

Proof from the Quran

Allah's own words on this matter, with scholarly explanation.

"They are a garment for you and you are a garment for them."

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:187

Explanation: Husband and wife are each other's garment — covering, warmth, and beauty.

"Live with them in kindness. If you dislike them, perhaps you dislike a thing in which Allah has placed much good."

Surah An-Nisa 4:19

Explanation: The command of kind treatment, and the reward of patience.

Proof from Authentic Hadith

Narrations from the Prophet ﷺ on this subject.

"The best of you is the best to his family, and I am the best of you to my family."

Sunan At-Tirmidhi 3895 — Sahih

Explanation: The best man is the one who treats his wife the best.

"A believing man should not hate a believing woman — if he dislikes one quality in her, he will be pleased by another."

Sahih Muslim 1469

Explanation: Every person has good qualities — change the angle from which you look.
