Quranic Duas & Wazaif
"Allah is sufficient for me; there is no deity except Him."
— Surah At-Tawbah 9:129
In-Depth Explanation
The existence of jinn is proven from the Quran and the Sunnah. Surah Al-Jinn is fully about this subject. Sometimes a jinn harms a person — these are the evil jinn.
The Prophet ﷺ himself taught ruqyah and had ruqyah done by the Sahaba. The treatment is only through Quranic verses and Sunnah duas — no amulets (taweez) or shirk-based practices.
Depending on how serious the case is, a course of treatment is given. Patience and a regular daily routine are essential.
Proof from the Quran
Allah's own words on this matter, with scholarly explanation.
"Allah — there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep."
— Surah Al-Baqarah 2:255 (Ayat al-Kursi)
"And there were men from mankind who sought refuge in men from the jinn, so they increased them in burden."
— Surah Al-Jinn 72:6
Proof from Authentic Hadith
Narrations from the Prophet ﷺ on this subject.
"Whoever recites the last two verses of Surah Al-Baqarah at night, they will suffice him."
— Sahih Al-Bukhari 5009
